Arnie is a different kind of doughnut. Sure he started out as dough, was fried in oil, is round, and has sprinkles--he is definitely a doughnut. But Arnie is also excited, friendly, very naive at first, and he can TALK. All is well for Arnie, especially when he is purchased by Mr. Bing, he knows the best is yet to come. Except when Mr. Bing tries to eat him, a new world is opened up to Arnie as he finds out that doughnuts really are for eating. Luckily, Mr. Bing decides not to eat Arnie but the two of them must problem-solve what to do with Arnie. Try to guess! This story is hilarious, silly, just weird but there is something endearing about a doughnut who dreamed of bigger things. There are some really good morals under the chocolate and sprinkles in there! The illustrations are intricate and include silly details all over the page that will make you want to read it again for the extras. Godd for all ages and many uses.
