For my young adult book, I chose Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling! One of my favorite books from my childhood. This novel has a mix of creativity and life lessons intertwined within the story. I find that even as an adult, I sympathize with the characters and connect with some of the situations they go through due to parallels that make the situations from my life and the novel comparable. Harry Potter is great for opening up the imagination and seeing relations to the real world. It helps others draw from their past and to connect with characters. This text is a source of perspective and engaging in another world. Some may be able to relate to the book who are leaving for college, in high school, or even parents reading this novel can appreciate Ron's mother and other parents within the Harry Potter world. I highly recommend this book to everyone willing to give it a whirl.

I really like that you brought Harry Potter to the table. Although its a given, and a classic, your points are very true in that there are many overlapping parallels between life and these novels.
ReplyDeleteThis book is highly versatile and can be read by children, young adults and older adults. I love the comments!!
