Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

Anya's Ghost is a story of struggles of a teenage girl, with a twist. Anya deals with many struggles any teenage girl can relate to; boys, friends, body image, fitting in, grades, coming from an immigrant family, etc. But in Anya's case, she comes across a rather unique type of friendship with a ghost.
At first this ghost helps her with many struggles, like telling Anya answers to her tests in her ear or telling her what to say when talking to her crush. But in the end, Anya realizes she doesn't need the ghost and she gains her own self confidence in being who she is. This book is a relatable and inspiring story about being yourself and loving and appreciating your close friends and family. This book is ideal for middle school to high school students.
