Love
You Forever, written by Robert Munsch and illustrated by Sheila
Mcgraw, is a picture book story that, while reading, feels a little bit, like
being on a roller coaster. The story describes the love a mother has for her
wild son. As the roller coaster goes up,
the story gives a quiet, reflective feeling as she sings a lullaby and then
goes rushing down with feelings of craziness and bafflement as the child makes
the mom feel like her son belongs in a zoo.
Years after my mom read me this story and eventually, being able to read it
myself, it still makes me very sentimental.
A mother can read Love You Forever
to their newborns and continue to read it as they grow up.
Every household could use a copy.
I, also enjoy how, on each page, the text has a repetitive format, so it
would be a beneficial read for a student learning English. The illustrations do an exquisite job of
supporting the text and instigating emotional feelings. Lily Woll
