Flora and the Flamingo by Molly Idle is a fun wordless book that involves a little girl and a flamingo becoming friends. The story starts out with the young girl mimicking the moves of the flamingo and ends with the two of them dancing together. The book also incorporates flaps in the book that give movement to the pictures, which added a great element to book. This book was entertaining and made me laugh, and I could see many children enjoying the story that is laid out by the pictures. This wordless book can give emerging readers a chance to be creative in making a story that goes along with the fun and silly illustrations.
