09-26-16 Sarah Kremple's Science Fiction Book Genre-Mystery

Dark Places by Gilliam Flynn

Libby Day, is a messed up adult who is depressed, living alone and trying to sort out her life. As a child, her family was murdered in a horrible incident called the “Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas”. The book revolves around her life as she still deals with the tragedy and unknowns of the exact counts of the incident. Although she blames her brother, and testified again him, she is now second-guessing her accusation because of recent evidence and people coming into her life. This is an incredibly detailed and information based novel set in states that are rural and dark. Older students would enjoy the complexities and fantastic characters of this book.

  1. This seems like a very interesting and multi layered story. I think this book could potentially be very interesting for young adults to read as they explore different types of literature. Is this novel fiction or non-fiction? I would love to read it myself!! Thanks for putting it up!
