This novel is about two teenage girls, one Moroi (good vampires) and one Dhampir (protectors of the Moroi) that have just gotten caught running away. Through the course of the novel, we are introduced to the Strigoi who are the “bad vampires” who gain power by killing the endangered Moroi. We also find out why the main girls, Rose and Lissa, were so desperate to escape the school. This is an exciting, contemporary book that will make you want more.
