This optimistic kitten heads off to her first day of school with her favorite lunch in tote. Once lunch time comes and Yoko opens her lunch box filled with sushi, she realizes how different the students are in her class as she is teased for having seaweed in her lunch. Shocked by her students reactions to differences, Yoko's teacher declares an international food day where each student brought in their favorite foods.This story is a great to use with children ages 3-6 as they explore how different people and that it is ok to be yourself.
