Rainstorm and Trainstop, by Barbara Lehman

RAINSTORM and TRAINSTOP are wonderful little wordless picture books with a lot of excitement. Author/Illustrator Barbara Lehman uses beautiful artistic techniques and vivid images to capture the imagination of the young. In both books the theme draws upon a child's seemingly regular day and unfolds into a visual adventure that one could only dream of. The simple story lines allow children to understand the pictures through their own personal lenses and developmental levels. The characters are relatable and the surprising twists keep you wanting to turn the page. Was it all a dream? Read and find out! (These could easily support a child in writing their OWN picture book...)
